A Dream Fulfilled: Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the inauguration at Ash Lawn-Highland. On the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963, Martin Luther King, Jr. proclaimed: "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."" Join Ash Lawn-Highland, home of president James Monroe, in celebrating the fulfillment of that dream with the inauguration of the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama.
