The Christmas Season will be celebrated at Ash Lawn-Highland with a variety of special events: November 23 - December 24 -- Cut Your Own Christmas Tree: Ash Lawn-Highland's fields are open for finding and cutting natural-growth cedars. Bring your own tools; a donation is requested. A selection of pre-cut trees are also available for sale. 11 am - 4 pm. |

December 8 - 31 -- House Decorated for Christmas: Fresh Boxwood, Fruits, Holly, & More. Daily tours between 11 am and 5 pm. December 9-- Gingerbread and Lace Ornament Workshop: Between the hours of 2PM and 4PM, Ash Lawn-Highland’s head kitchen and craft interpreter Martha Bar will direct an ornament workshop. Each participant in the workshop will be guided through the process of making Victorian inspired tree decorations. Admission which includes a tour of the hour is $12 for all ages. Reservations required. December 26 & 27 -- Sounds of the Season: A Holiday Concert: Afternoon performances of seasonal music followed by a tour of the Monroe house. Concert times: 4:30pm and 6:00pm on Wednesday, December 26 and 4:30 pm on Thursday, December 27. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Reservations recommended. |
